Digital Phone
Have you heard about Digital Phone Service? Well if you are a cable customer I am sure you have been bugged by the cable company to join their Digital Phone service. Originally, it was called VoIP or voice over Internet Protocol.
Voip or Digital Phone are one and the same. They are used to make phone calls over the Internet using a modum to provide the path to all of the phone services. Each cable company should have the capacity to do digital or Voip phone. Some don’t as it would require them to supply a path to prevent from being dependent on other cable systems.
But there are others that are building their lines of communication very quietly but very surely. One of the major brands is Vonage but more on that in future articles. There are a few others, Like ACN and various cable companies that are building their network.
The major advantage to using Digital Phone service is that you only have to pay a monthly fee to the cable company for any and all calls made in the US, Canada & Puerto Rico. That is if you have cable currently. If you do not have cable, then you will have to get it to support your Internet habit. So if that is a cost you were not expecting to pay it will raise you phone bill to higher then it currently is unless you make a lot of near local or long distance calls.
Don’t worry, I will provide more info in future articles. This article is just an introduction to digital phones. So sit back and enjoy and I look forward to supplying more info to you.
