Digital Phone vs Home Phone

The following is a video that describes to us the difference between the voip or digital phone verses the land line or home phone. There are two things that you should pay extra attention to and that is the the voip or digital phone is becoming more reliable and that there is a monthly charge for all calls within the North American continent.

VOIP VS Home Phone — powered by ExpertVillage.com
I am disappointed that it is mostly audio then video but when the picture finally showed up it is very clear.
The other thing is that voip or digital phones are much better then he claims. It has gotten so good that the chances of getting dropped calls are very rare and we can now process live video over the phones.
But like many pieces of newer technology, there are issues and most of it is dependent on the equipment that you buy. Just use the cell phone as an example. Usually, the more money you spend on the cell phone the better your chance is of getting good reception, good audio and the better your chance is of getting to use all of the devices on your phone or your service.
There are a few companies that have been quietly developing their own system that is dedicated to your digital phone service. That way the opportunity for having a dropped call is very unlikely and the quality of your phone service is excellent.
There are just a couple of companies that have their own system so it is easy to find the best for your use. One of those is the company that I am an Independent Sales Rep for. If you would like to learn more able digital phone service as well as digital video phone service, use the link at the side or look at the pages above the title of the blog.

I am very sure that you will find it great information. By the by, I have been a digital phone user for almost two years and have been a digital video phone user for almost 7 months and only wish there were more people using the video phone so I could utilize the video more. So get yours and you can call me.

E-Mail me at telecomm42 “at” gmail.com (replace “at” with @ ) and we can talk about digital phones, video phones or cell phones.

Digital Video Phone Awareness!

Digital Video Phones. Did you ever hear of them before. Digital Video Phones will become a household phrase after next Sunday. There is a certain Reality show that will be featuring the Digital Video Phones. The show will feature the once free phone. Sales have been so good due to word of mouth that they are now charging a small fee for the phone. It is believed that after the Reality show, the Digital Video Phone sales will jump up by 1500%.

I would not be surprised that after the initial crunch of sales that there may be another sales price increase. But don’t worry. You can get it now or after the product is presented on the reality show for the small fee.

I have to tell you that I have had mine for almost 6 months and I think it is great. We just need more people to get the phones so that we can call and see you. It also has a feature on it that is great. It can display your digital pictures while not in use.

That’s right it has a 7 inch digital picture frame that also is used as a digital video phone display. But why wait till next week, order yours now so that your order will be in before the big order next week.

Free Cell Phones - Yes they are!

I hope you do not think that this is some type of scam!

The service providers have phones that they want to make available to you for free so that you will join their cell phone service. All of them do it, ATT, Verizon, T-Mobile, etc. and we have info about them all. The big 6 as we like to call them. All over the web you will find cell phones at different prices. At one time they had over 90 phones that were $29.99 or less including over 40 for free but this will vary from month to month so don’t hold me to it exactly!

I was checking in our newspaper yesterday and they were advertising Blackberry’s that were on sale. They had 4 that were $19.95 to $199.95. I compared them to the phones that were being offered with the company I am familiar with and found that the $19.95 phones were the same price but the other 3 phones were significantly lower with another company.

So, if you are looking for a new contract with your provider or want to change, I can help you get a very good deal. Even if my price for the service contract is the same I can save you money on buying the phone at a reduced rate.

If you could save $25 or $50 or $150, wouldn’t it be worth getting your service contract and cell phone with my company? YOU BET!

If you are interested in getting better deals, I have a number of companies I can refer you to. Please email me at the following address “telecomm42 @ gmail.com”. I have put spaces before and after the @ so that I won’t get spam to my site so please use it but remove the spaces.

Good luck and I am sure you will not be disappointed!

Cell Phones - Good or Bad?

When asked how a cell phone user likes his/her service with their cell phone the typical response is that they don’t. A recent survey by Consumers Reports found that the very best cell phone service provider got a rating of 3 out of a possible 5.

If you relate that to when you were in school that would be a “C” grade. And that was for the best one. There are only about a dozen cell phone service providers and of that there are 6 that have 95% of users.

So why do we accept this type of poor service. Why is it we “settle” for things now. A friend of mine lives in Chicago, Illinois and tells me that they know that when they go out to eat they will expect the service to be substandard. Now how crazy is that. Do they do anything about it? Sometimes they reduce the tip by 50% when they think it was bad sedrvice as a result of the wait server.

But getting back to the cell phones and the service we receive, it is terrible that we allow this type of substandard service to become the norm. Is it possible that we allow it to occur because there are so many underage children using cell phones and it is not something that we concern ourselves with. They use it and it makes our life easier when we need to communicate with them.

Or is it that they make it so difficult to get any assistance from their service departments. They sub contract out their service to businesses in other countries and they have no more control then we do when it comes to improving the service we get.

It is very difficult to speak to these people as they don’t speak English as well as we do. OOPs! That is being very generous to say we speak better English then people in other countries based on the conversations I’ve had with many people around the USA.

Actually, when you look around the country you will find examples of poor service no matter where you go or what store or restuarant or what ever place you go to buy, lease or eat at. I cannot believe that we allow that to occur. Do I demand better service every time I get jerked around? No! Sometimes it is not worth the hastle to try and demand that the service be better.

But I do try to get people to provide the service I expect. If I get poor serviced at a restuarant, I will let the management know and I let the wait server know by complaining and leaving a very small tip. There are some places that you cannot do that as they put the 20% tip right in the bill so that you have no choice but to pay them even if the service was substandard. The one that comes to mind right off the bat is New York City. The service is normally pretty poor and they just don’t care most of the time. And apparently, so does Chicago restaurants.

If you would like to know which cell phone service provider has been rated as the best, I will let you know in another issue of “The Cell Phone, As the World Turns Badly!”

If you would like to leave a comment about service you get from your cell phone service provider, please feel free. Maybe we can get small sampling survey of our own. Tell me the cell phone service providers you have used and rank them between 1 and 5 with 5 being the very best service you’ve ever seen or never seen.

Thanks, talk to you next time.

Why a Digital Phone on the Internet?

This article is about the digital phone on the Internet. Why and what is the advantage over other types of phones?

You may not have read the previous article as I just wrote it a few minutes ago. I wanted to write this one right away to tell you what the advantage is to having a digital phone and the other advantage to having a digital video phone.

I have writen some articles about using digital verses standard land phones. The major advantage to using a digital phone is the cost. When you get the phone hooked up to your cable or DSL, the cost is one price each month regardless of the number of calls you make or where you are calling as long as it is in the US, Canada or Puerto Rico.

Yes you read that right, it is one cost or charge per month with no extra fees for “near local” or “long distance” calls within the areas I mentioned above. You will pay anywhere from $24 to $50 per month and that is it.

Compare that to a typical “Land Line” phone that charges you $49.95 plus, plus, plus, plus, plus, plus and plus long distanc local or out of state. Which could be as much as $120 per month. Typically though you will spend between $70 and $80 per month.

Well, I don’t know about you but that would pay for 5 to 8 gallons of gas a month at $4.00 per gallon at the cable price of $50 for digital phones. If it where at $24 that would pay for 12 to 15 gallons of gas per month.

If your vehicle got only 20 miles per gallon you could go another 300 miles with that extra money or it would give you an extra $700 for Christmas if you were to save it.

Let’s get down to the nitty gitty. You could shop all over the web or travel all over town but I will tell you where you can get the best pricing for Digital Phones.

Go to my email address at “telecomm42 at gmail.com” and you will get info about who has the best deal. You will get a Voip phone adaptor that will allow you to use your phone to call anyone, regardless of the type of phone or phone service through the Internet anywhere in the US, Canada or Puerto Rico.

These phones very portable. You can take the adaptor and phone with you and hook up to a cable connection anywhere in the country and use your phone from there.

Again, for more info and a video about the service and phone go to my email site at ==>”telecomm42 at gmail.com”.

See, that is why I was reluctant to tell you about the phone. It just takes to long. I don’t know how to tell you how wonderful digital phone service is and how great it is to have a phone that will stream video to you from anywhere in the US, etc.

Right now I have one of each and I love it. I will switch over to having both phone lines with the video phone soon but I got a lot of other things to do. Even with two different lines I am saving myself in excess of $65 per month. That’s almost $800 per year.

Enough already. I have yakked to long. See ya in the next blog post.

Digital phone to save money!

You have seen things being said or written about Voip and you keep asking people what is it and how does it work. Well I am here to tell you very briefly. No Geek Speak!

You have either Internet “Cable” or “DSL” or “Dial Up” and using one of these you are able to get onto the Internet. DSL is approxiamately 50 times faster then “Dial Up”. High speed DSL is about 60 times faster then “Dial up”. Cable is even faster. It is about 150 times faster then “Dial up” and if you get the faster high speed Cable it will be about 500 times faster then “Dial Up”.

All you really need to know is that the faster the rate of operation, the faster you can sail through the Internet or even load stuff from the Internet onto your computer.

How fast you want to do those things is up to you and your pocket book. As the speed goes up, so does the cost. Being on the Internet a lot, the speed has helped me. I have loaded some files onto my computer that were 127 mb. At dial up speed I would have been there for 2 hours trying to load it up but using my very high speed cable it took me about 3 minutes.

Do I really need that speed? Yes, at least for now. In a very short period of time it will not be necessary and I can throttle it back. Maybe even go to high speed DSL.

I need high speed DSL to use for my digital video phone. High speed is not necessary for Digital phone but to stream video to the phone it does need to be high speed otherwise the picture will be fuzzy or distorted.

By the way, the digital video phone is spectacular. It is the best thing I have gotten since the cell phone. Hi Def TV is pretty good too but being able to talk to a relative across the country and look him in the eye is great.

I promise, next time I will write a compete article about the digital video phone but it is time to get off the blog. See you next time. Thanks.

Digital Video Phone

The Future in Telephone is here right now.

You have been waiting and waiting for this opportunity

and here it is right now.

My Dear Friends,

First there was telephone as invented by Bell, then came the more sophisticated Internet which was first used by the wire phones invented over 100 years ago.

Then came cable TV which was used to get better looking pictures and then more different channels.

Soon you could get on the Internet using that same cable device and you were able to get faster service using the cable.

As the reliability of cable increased it became the primary source of access for the Internet. There were many Internet web sites that had developed the ability to stream video and soon cameras became available that could provide sound and pictures to someone else on the Internet using broadband cable system.

Finally, a company decided it could provide digital telephone service. Then two then four and soon there is a lot of companies being able to supply digital telephone service.

We have been waiting for the next generation of telephones that could stream audio and video across the Internet via a digital video phone but the new technology has been slow in coming.

There have been a number of reasons for the slow progress and that has been the following;

  • Reliability of Computers

  • Reliability of the Cable system and the assorted equipment

  • Getting the bandwidth down to something the phone lines could carry as well the Internet.

  • Getting streaming video that was good enough to view.

  • Finally, getting people to accept it.

Well, that is over with!

The Digital Video Phone is here and it is wonderful. The company that is providing it has even been able to reduce the cost of manufacturing down to a level that is affording to every family.

This is going to be as big as cell phones and if you want to get in on the very beginning now is the time.

You can still use it as a regular digital cable phone when the caller on the other end does not have a video phone but it is estimated that there will over 80% of the household with Digital Video Phones over the next few years.

That means that you will be able to see your caller very soon no matter who you call.

Now the very best news you can get is what the cost is going to be.

Initially when the phone was introduced a couple of years ago, the generation one phone was a little over $1,000. Then generation two phone was priced at $699. Soon generation three came out and the cost was down to around $300.

Well this latest generation phone with electronics capable of accepting changes on the fly to keep it at the very top of the food chain will be available at not $299, not $199 not even $99 but will be provided for free as long as you keep it for a full two years.

And it will be the cheapest digital video telephone forever as even when the others will be able to duplicate it by reverse engineering they will have to charge something as they will not have a distribution setup like our company.

They will be offered through the various electronic companies for a fee and it may be close to zero it will never get to that point.
